All I want for Christmas is my...

bottom front tooth!  Actually, that statement isn't entirely true.  Hudson lost his first tooth over a month ago.  (i'm a bad mom -- November was sort of an overwhelmingly busy month, so I'm just now able to share these pictures.)

Hudson's bottom front tooth was REALLY wiggly for a LONG time.  It was so loose it would lean forward, literally hanging on by the root.  Except that teeny tiny little root was filled with super-duper strength.  Daddy tried pulling it out one night, even resorting to the use of needle-nose pliers (that had been properly sanitized first)...

But that little tooth was stubborn and strong.   Poor Hudson wouldn't eat an apple or anything hard for several days because it hurt.  One day, he came home BEAMING with a sweet little box in his hand.  Inside was..

his first lost tooth!  To say he was excited would be the understatement of the century!  Hudson excitedly told me the story of how he was eating lunch and it just fell out.  He thought it was a piece of carrot or something hard, but there it was -- his first tooth!

Hudson's new tooth is almost completely in by now, but he is still very proud of this picture...
